Echointime Border Collies

Faithful Companions for Life

Welcome to Echointime Border Collies, the home of beautiful, healthy, colourful, pedigree border collies bred to be your faithful companion for life.

My name is Dianne. I've had border collies as pets all my adult life and have always loved the border collie. We're situated in the Kingaroy area of Queensland. The kids all live in the home with me, following me around all day and sleeping on the lounge or doggy beds around the house at night and also during the day. My dogs are my family. My grandchildren are bred for their adaptability to live in any surroundings. They are suitable to go to homes as faithful, loving pets, they have the aptitude and ability to do agility or other doggy sports or to be used on the farm using their herding instincts.

All my dogs are DNA tested and while a couple of the girls are carriers they are always bred to clear dogs to ensure that no pup will ever be able to have any of the inheritable diseases. I am proud to bring happy, healthy, beautiful puppies in a variety of colours into the world and into your loving arms to provide you with a loving and faithful companion for life.

Supply number BIN0006857247727. Pups are registered with MDBA.

This following poem is soooo true - there is a LOT of heartbreak in breeding. We try all we can to save every pup but sometimes it just doesn't happen. There are many things that go wrong, from pups just not strong enough to live, to accidents, or to pups that have a genetic defect. While most are healthy and we strive to keep them healthy there is the occasional circumstance where we just can't succeed no matter how hard we try. This happens to ALL breeders of all animals from time to time.

A Breeders Poem

I love my little puppy; she makes my house a home.
She is my very sweetest little friend; I never feel alone.
She makes me smile; She makes me laugh; She fills my heart with love . . .
Did some person breed her, or did she fall from above?
I've never been a breeder, never seen life through their eyes;
I hold my little puppy and just sit and criticize.
I've never known their anguish; I've never felt their pain,
the caring of their charges, through snow or wind or rain.
I've never waited the whole night through for babies to be born,
The stress and trepidation when they're still not there by morn.
The weight of responsibility for this body in my hands,
This darling little baby, who weighs but 60 grams.
Should you do that instead of this . . . or maybe that was wrong?
Alone you fight and hope, one day, he'll grow up proud and strong.
You pray he'll live to bring great joy to someone else's home.
You know it's all just up to you; you'll fight this fight alone.
Formula, bottles, heating pads, you've got to get this right,
two-hour feedings for this tiny guy, throughout the day and night.
Within your heart you dread that you will surely lose this fight,
To save this little baby, but God willing . . . you just MIGHT.
Day one; he's in there fighting; you say a silent prayer.
Day two & three, he's doing well, with lots of love and care.
Day four & five . . . he's still alive; your hopes soar to the heavens.
Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands, day seven.
You take this little angel, and bury him alone.
With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan,
You ask yourself, "Why do this? . . . Why suffer through this pain?"
Yet watch the joy your puppies bring, and everything's explained.
So, when you think of breeders and label them with "Greed,"
Think of all that they endure to fill another's need.
For when you buy your puppy, with your precious dollars part,
You only pay with money . . . while they pay with all their heart.

 Live Like a Dog!

Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

My dogs live here, they're here to stay.
You don't like pets, be on your way.
They share my home, my food, my space.
This is their home; this is their place.

You will find dog hair on the floor,
they will alert you're at the door.
They may request a little pat,
a simple “no” will settle that.

It gripes me when I hear you say,
'just how is it you live this way?
They smell, they shed, they're in the way.'
'WHO ASKED YOU?' is all I can say.

They love me more than anyone,
my voice is like the rising sun.
They merely have to hear me say,
'C'mon, time to go and play.'

Then tails wag and faces grin.
They bounce and hop and make a din.
They never say 'no time for you,'
they're always there, to GO and DO.

And if I'm sad? They're by my side.
And if I'm mad? They circle wide.
And if I laugh, they laugh with me,
they understand, they always see.

Ao once again, I say to you,
Come visit me, but know this too . . .
My dogs live here, they're here to stay.
You don't like pets, be on your way.

They share my home, my food, my space.

This is their home; this is their place.”
